I graduated from Buckingham University in 1990 with a degree in Business Studies and a degree in International Hotel Management. I then opened a beauty salon in Bedfordshire with my sister Amita who was a beauty therapist. The business became highly successful and at its peak we employed 18 members of staff offering an extensive range of treatments. We were proud to be one of the first clinics to have a resident aesthetic doctor. Over the 10 years of running the salon we built up a very strong reputation for our ‘unique’ technique for eyebrow shaping.
I took two years out to work abroad in Miami where I worked in a high profile boxing gym frequented by celebrities. I regularly worked on video shoots as a make-up artist and had a number of celebrity clients including A listers for eyebrow shaping, hence earning my reputation for being the eyebrow queen.
After I returned to the UK we sold the Beauty salon and I embarked on another venture into the permanent make-up business. I have established myself amongst the elite in permanent make up throughout europe over the last seven years and have a large network of clients from abroad and the uk including celebrities and saudi royalty. I have regularly featured in magazines worked on tv shows such as Extreme make-over, 10 years younger, celebrity scissorhands, Jades salon to name but a few, where I have built up wide range of contacts. I assess and train new and established technicians for Nouveau Contour.
One year ago I teamed up with a cosmetic dentist and surgeon, an aesthetic doctor, 2 aesthetic nurses and a colonic irrigation and nutritional therapist to create an extreme makeover centre in Milton Keynes which is known as the Brooklands Clinic. Having worked with various doctors and surgeons and built my knowledge of aesthetic and cosmetic procedures over the last 15 years I am well respected in the industry. We are fast building a clientelle for extreme new you and detox packages from all over the uk.
Because my passion and forte in beauty is in brow shaping, I am now in the process of launching a new ‘High definition’ brow brand and training course in conjunction with Karen Betts. I have always been aware that there is a lack of training for beauticians in eyebrow shaping which has resulted in a lack of good brows. Extensive training will be available with myself and Amita in the very near future. Once we spread our passion for brow shaping you’ll never look at brows in the same way again, watch this space.
