Nilam was once again assigned to the X Factor team and given the task of keeping the final contestants looking pretty and groomed throughout the competition. Facials, massages, pedicures, manicures and of course HD Brows were on the menu each week for contestants including Misha B, Jonny Robinson, The Risk boys and Nilam’s personal favourites, finalists Little Mix and Marcus Collins. Unfortunately Nilam was unable to get her hands on Dermet O’leary’s brows, but he was as pleasant in person as he comes across on the big screen Nilam informs us.
Numerous members of the Dermaspa staff accompanied Nilam to the contestants’ house and Fountain Studios in Wembley to help with the up keep of each contestant. After the transformation of Cher Lloyd’s brows last year all the contestants were keen for Nilam to carry out her eyebrow skills from as far back as Boot Camp. Nilam added, ” Although this is a singing contest, a lot of people’s votes are made due to the contestants’ appearance which certainly goes a long way in this industry. There is a fantastic team behind the scenes headed by celeb make-up artist Natalya Nair including fashion stylists, hairdressers, and a core team of make-up artists. It’s our job to send each contestant out onto the stage looking as good as possible. As people know I am very protective over brows, it’s my passion and I love to see the difference the HD Brows treatment can make over a period of time. With this show I get the chance to do that and it gives me an immense amount of satisfaction”
The clinic has had visits from Marcus Collins, Sophie Habibis and Samantha Brookes. Following the show All three contestants will be travelling the country this year performing on the X Factor Tour.
